Overview
This Tyrolean town is full of Alpine charm and is a complete mix of sport, music and culture. Many festivals are held throughout the year and Kitzbühel provides an impressive stage for a multitude of events including music concerts, a film festival, triathlon, golf festival as well as a number of culinary festivals too.
The historic town centre is full of eye-catching, multi-coloured buildings and is famed for it’s architectural legacy. This old mining town is a now a hub of activity with a wide array of quirky shops, unique bars and traditional restaurants to explore.
Often referred to as a ‘hikers paradise’, the town acts as a superb base for exploring well over 1000km of hiking trails including 20 different free guided tours available on a weekly basis from the tourist office. The rugged landscape you discover above the town offers amazing views over the Wilderkaiser mountains and there are plenty of mountain restaurants open throughout the summer that are the perfect spot for a lunch break mid-walk or a relaxing drink at the end of the day.
